Marine Drive along the promenade is the other half. It is slow, heavily parked on both sides, and busy with pedestrians for most of the year, so it is constant low-speed hazard perception, parallel parking on a grade, and patience.

Five Corners and the North Bluff Road arterial bring it back to ordinary signalled intersections, which makes a sensible warm-up and cool-down around the harder waterfront work.
